In order to fulfill your goals, it is important to be conscious of what your goals are, align with them and then allow the Universe to take you there.

To realize your goals, think about where you want to be in a year, 5 years, 10 years. How you want to feel about yourself/life, the types of people you want to be surrounded by, what kind of relationships you want to have with others and how you want your career to be/feel/look. Once you have a good idea of what you want in the future, it is all about letting go of expectations and going with the flow – following your intuition. Life will take you exactly where you subconsciously want to go, depending on the “vibes” you give out.
Practice the following 5 actions to align yourself (thoughts, feelings, words, actions) with where you want to go and then sit back and let your intuition do the work.
- Look in the direction you want to go. We are always moving in some direction. The most successful people are consciously deciding their next moves based on where they want to go. In other words, they know what they want and are focused on getting there. In order to move toward something, you need to decide what it is you want. Set your goals and think about them often. If your goals are great, then break them down into smaller step-wise goals and hold yourself accountable. This simple practice of thinking about where you want to go will help ensure you are making decisions aligned with getting there.
- Every morning set an intention for the day. How do you want that meeting to go? Whether it is to eat healthy, have a good day, be nice to someone you can’t stand – Think about how you ideally want your day to go while lying in bed (taking a shower, etc.). What would you be thankful for if it happened – how can you make a step toward that happening? Positivity and focus can go a long way in improving your life and getting you to your desired experiences. (The opposite has no place in a successful life.)
- Stay on the path of least resistance. Make a list of everything you have to do each week. Throughout your day, keep asking yourself what activity you should do next and go through your list, moving forward with the one that doesn’t leave you with any dread or indifference and actually seems like you actually want to or wouldn’t mind working on it at that moment. You will be surprised at how a flow develops and all the work that needs to get done gets done by just moving forward with what feels good in any given moment.
- Envision yourself succeeding. So often it is easier to see ourselves failing. The “what ifs” can take over and not in a positive way. Make it a point to be positive about your future. If you are going to speak up in a meeting or have an important discussion with senior leadership, tell yourself you will do awesome. Give yourself the pep-talk that you would give your best friend, believe in yourself, stay calm and exude poise.
- Make time for yourself to think about where you have been, where you are and where you want to go in life. Everyday give yourself some time, whether it is a few minutes in your car before you head to your next commitment or taking a walk. This will help with all of the above tips/practices as well.
Put your intuition to work to get where you want to go so you can approach everyday with ease and a positive outlook.
